Cropped photo
The number of prints in this gallery is not limited. Each print is produced under my control by a professional laboratory, but is not an artwork in the fiscal sense. These prints are therefore not numbered and do not come with a certificate of authenticity. They are, however, signed.
PHONERIËS [Phoneries]
PHONERIËS brings together spontaneous, incidental photographs, taken on the margins of my professional work. Moments of travel or everyday life, caught on the fly with a smartphone, far from technical constraints and planned projects.
These are unpretentious images, captured in the moment, without preparation, for the simple pleasure of fixing an instant. Guided by circumstance and wonder rather than precise intention. Yet, to my mind, never entirely trivial.
Because suddenly, the eye is drawn.
Always with care, though: attention to framing, to light, to the balance of a fleeting scene. And that thrill of surprise, born of a sudden impulse or a detail glimpsed at the last moment, which makes you want to stop, to look…
And always, the pleasure of offering these glimpses: a shadow, a sunset, a pebble, a palm tree with or without the moon…
Yours to choose…
