Cropped photo
The number of prints in this gallery is not limited. Each print is produced under my control by a professional laboratory and signed, but is not an artwork in the fiscal sense. These prints are therefore not numbered.
The proportions of the images shown may differ from the print formats offered. Each photo will be adapted to the format chosen when you place your order.
Voiliers monocoques [Monohull Sailing Yachts]
I never tire of photographing sailing yachts. They have been part of my life since childhood and continue to shape the way I see the sea.
They are undeniably beautiful, with their clean lines, majestic rigging and slender sails. Bursting with power, fast, heeling over, they cruise past us with pride, sometimes seeming to look back at us. Big or small, we love and admire them, perhaps because we find in them a kind of humanity. I love the way they become one with the wind, their balance, the way they seem to merge seamlessly with the ocean.
At sea, I rediscover the same pleasure every time: an endless horizon stretching ahead. A coastline slowly revealing itself, a passing squall transforming the sky, a shaft of light sculpting the sails or suddenly bringing the curves of a hull to life. No two moments are ever quite the same, and that is probably why I never grow tired of returning.
I photograph them under sail, at anchor, from a chase boat or a helicopter, and sometimes from on board. I am always searching for that fleeting moment: a silhouette perfectly framed within the landscape, a manoeuvre, a focused crew, or simply people enjoying life at sea—that unique emotion born from the power of the wind and the grace of the yacht.
This gallery continues to grow through voyages, encounters and photographic assignments. It brings together very different sailing yachts, all sharing the same promise: to set off, to look beyond the horizon, and to let the wind write the journey.
